FAQS

Prevention and control measures for the new coronavirus (PT)

Currently, the State of Calamity is in effect throughout the entire national territory.

Pursuing the gradual strategy of lifting containment measures in the context of combating the pandemic of the Covid-19 disease, and taking into account the assessment of the epidemiological criteria for defining pandemic control, the portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF) resumed, as of 19h April, face-to-face service at all of its bureaus. Currently, all SEF’s bureaus are open. The attendance service is provided by pre-booking.

All citizens who have seen their appointments canceled, due to the suspension of public service during the last few months, will receive an email from SEF indicating the new date.
